About HBBB
Havering & Brentwood Boys' Brigade Battalion

We are part of Boys' Brigade

Over 40,000 children and young people get involved in BB every week. There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or kayaking, first aid or five a side, music or crafts.

We are part of the London District

The Boys’ Brigade in London supports over 50 individual groups and more than 500 leaders to work with over 1300 children & young people of all genders throughout the London area, enabling them to live ‘life to the full’.

We are part of the local church

We are aware that many churches find it difficult to engage with young people. Through the BB, children & young people (aged 5 to 18+) get involved in local churches.  This is why we are passionate about what we do.

We support local BB groups

The word 'battalion' means large group of organised people working together with a common aim.  BB in Havering & Brentwood may not be large but we work towards the common aims and can (sometimes) be organised!

We are BB leaders

As a battalion leadership, we are a varied bunch.  Most of us have grown up in BB, we have led various sections and companies.  We also bring experience from different industries including education, entertainment and sports.

Alongside responsibilities for BB in our area, we also collaborate with other BB groups from London District, East Anglia District and South East Essex.  These include companies in Billericay, Chelmsford, Enfield, Southend, South Woodham Ferrers, and West Kent.

Leadership:  Peter & Graham (Vice-Presidents), Anthony, Sean (Treasurer), Neil (Chaplain), James (London Trustee)
